| This event is one of the highlights on the racing calendar in Northeast Iowa. The event is a point to point race along the Old Roundhouse Trail. Following registration, a shuttle bus will take you from Elma to the starting line at Lylah's Marsh. The trail is asphalt and very fast and flat. The race concludes north of the watertower area in Elma.
Following the race is a pancake, sausage, and egg breakfast at the Memorial Hall (included in entry fee for particpants / $5.00 for non-participants) and concludes with the awards presentation. The trail has been measured and is awaiting certification from the USATF and the run will be professionally timed.
Stay in Elma for the day for a parade and the community-wide celebration, Old Roundhouse Trail Days.
Proceeds from the run/walk are donated to the Elma trailhead welcome center / museum projects.
